A Summer’s Day-to-Night Time Outfit For Under $100

I’ve seen countless bloggers starting to post fall outfit posts and ideas but summer isn’t even over. I don’t think I could put on a pair of boots or a long sleeve top without dying of a heat stroke. The heat in Florida is fucking awful. I don’t even know what I’m doing here. I hate the heat. This post has nothing to do with fall.

I might look pretty decent in this shoot but this was outfit three of a long scorching hot morning of shooting. I had to go back and forth from the parking lot, run up a flight of stairs, and I’m pretty sure I flashed everyone in the parking lot while changing outfits in the car. Not my proudest moment.

On days I go into work and have plans to grab a drink or head to dinner outfit there is absolutely no way I’m going home to change. Even if I do head home after and decide to go out, I rarely change my clothes because I’m just too lazy to do so. I like to make as little effort possible which is one probably why I choose to wear day/night looks to the office, my hair is always a mess and I rarely, if ever, take the time to put on some makeup.

My go-to outfit is usually a pair of culottes but on the days I go for after-office happy hour I always put on a maxi skirt. I always feel like a dress will be too much and pants are a little boring. But a classic pleated skirt, a tee, a chic pair of heels, and you have yourself an outfit you can take out for one too many drinks and still look good for breakfast or an unseemly walk of shame.

Shop Day / Night Time Outfit

All of these pieces are pretty old but I’ve found similar pieces to choose from all under $100. I’m starting to warm up to the idea of online shopping. I only online shop for styles I know will fit or if I know I couldn’t find it at the mall. ASOS is a close, personal favorite of mine. ChicWish is a close second and SheIn is a budget-friendly alternative when my wallet is out dry.
