I know the shitty weather everyone hates is great and all but sometimes a bit of sun is necessary to avoid the repetitive, yet satisfying, ability to stay tucked in bed longer than one should. Being woken up by the unwelcoming ray of sunshine upon my bare eyelids isn’t necessarily my cup of tea except when the weather has been too damn cold to argue otherwise. Speaking of things you didn’t think were necessarily needed, sleeveless coats fall under this category indubitably. The day is bright, the grass is green, and the wind is nippy. These unearthly indecision of the weather can be inevitably pinpointed as the perfect excuse to wear something liberating and warm or something sleeveless and what not.
I’m not a fashion expert nor is my intention to educate such things. I simply like to call out what fashionable attire I feel are inspiring or beneficial to any fashionably oriented girl’s closet. Many of us are compelled to shop, to find the pretty little things that makes us a bit giddy inside. We trot along and try on a few things here and there but most of the time find nothing in particular. But sometimes without even looking or as you are furiously giving up you find the dress you’ve spent hours looking for slipped somewhere in the pants section. This is how I came upon this (100% Alpaca) sleeveless coat. It was hung in the men’s department and the moment I tried it on I knew it would be the perfect statement piece to liven up any look. I bought it the same Alpaca sale I talked about here in Lima and there was nothing stopping me from buying a second one in black.
This was a few days ago. I spent the rest of the day in Chaclacayo playing in the sun. I visited, interviewed and sipped a few brews with the men of Barbarian. I celebrated the 3 years I’ve been in a relationship by romantically binge watching Netflix movies and devouring fancy lasagna late at night. And that’s the end that. Happy weekend!
