I try not to be on my phone for too long because I feel like one of those addicts you see in public that you can’t help but wonder how they’re still even alive. Although they’ve probably learned the art of not getting run over and not running into things. There are countless times I look at two friends having brunch, lunch, or dinner while one of them is asking are you listening every 2 minutes and the other friend is nodding their head as their eyes are glued to their phone. All I want to do is pull up a chair and tell them, “it’s okay, I’m listening!” However, I confess to being one of them at some point but I’ve learned how to manage my time and, most importantly, how to put my damn phone down!
I downloaded this app long before I even started my own blog. It is almost like facebook to me but better because it is a feed with only my favorite blogs. If I don’t have a book with me to read while I’m waiting at the doctor’s office, waiting on someone, or trying to kill some time, I’ll be browsing around this app and finding new bloggers to follow or read up on any blog posts I’ve missed.
I was using Planoly before (big mistake) to plan my Instagram feed and schedule posts if I have too many I want to upload. I’m not sure why I didn’t google it before but this is a free app. I was paying around $9/month for Planoly and I didn’t even use any of the features they offer. UNUM let’s you upload photos, view your current feed and move your picture around to get the perfect feed.
My go to photo editing app. I use this for all my pictures before uploading them to Instagram. The no. 1 reason is because of the copy + past edits options. I don’t have to worry about getting the perfect editing for all of my Instagram photos to match. My life is so much easier with this app and yours will be too, I promise.
Another editing app I use. My favorite thing about this one is the fact that you can play with selective editing. if there is too much shadow or want to give a more dramatic effect, this app is the answer. I don’t use it as often as VSCO but trust me, its just as important to me.
I can’t believe I almost forgot about this one. This app has saved my life a million times except for all the times I accidentally delete it because I forget my password. It lets you see notes, calendars, saved links, and tasks from other devices. There are countless times I read articles or am inspired to write something in the middle of the night for a future article and I completely forget about it because I don’t jot it down. This app lets you save links or write notes on your phone to later open it up on your mac. It’s my little app of heaven that keeps me organized while my mind is going a million miles an hour.
Bonus: This one isn’t Instagram or blog related but it’s delicious enough to make me talk about it. Often times I find myself not knowing what to eat but still want to manage to eat something healthy. This app is filled with delicious and pretty easy recipes to try when you’re as indecisive as I am. I’m not a vegetarian nor do I think I ever will be but these recipes are killer and they’ll save you from the anxiety you get from not knowing what to eat.
